EVENT: Turning Dreams Into Plans - Vermont Youth Conference

We are so excited to invite you to the Turning Dreams into Plans youth conference! VCRHYP is thrilled to be partnering with the VT Youth Development Program to host this wonderful event, and we hope you can join us!
When: April 4, 2017 at 9am-3pm
Where: VT Technical College in Randolph, VT
This conference has been happening annually for 27 years - that’s more years than our conference coordinator has even been alive(!) - and we want you there to help us make this the best one yet.
We’ll have a packed agenda of fun, interactive, and informative workshops and speakers that will help attendees develop skills and make connections in many areas of their lives. Not to mention the games, arts and crafts, tie-dye, music, prizes, and awards that will fill the afternoon. It’s a great day to learn about resources, meet new people, and connect with old friends.

So who exactly is this conference for?
The Turning Dreams into Plans youth conference is for young Vermonters, ages 15-25, who have experienced homelessness and/or involvement in DCF. Any young person who is connected to any one of VCRHYP or YDP’s partner agencies is welcome to attend! And of course we invite any and all adult supporters to accompany the young people in their lives to this event :)
How much does it cost to attend?
Registration is 100% FREE and even includes a conference t-shirt and lunch (who said there’s no such thing as a free lunch!). We’ll even help you get there by reimbursing mileage if you’re a young person driving yourself, or rent you a van if you’re a super awesome adult who wants to support a bunch of youth to attend!
Can I volunteer at the event?
YES! Volunteer positions are available for people ages 15-25. We are looking for people to help set up tables in the morning, run registration, support our presenters, run the raffle, and help with cleanup. All of our volunteers will be given a $25 VISA gift card as a thank you! If you have lots of experience volunteering with YDP or VCRHYP, you may be just who we’re looking for to be our volunteer supervisor! This position is paid $75 and helps organize and support all volunteers throughout the day. We are also actively recruiting youth speakers to help open and close the day.
