Lamoille Family Center’s mission:
The Lamoille Family Center affirms the right of all children and youth to grow up in an environment that enables them to become healthy adults by encouraging, educating, and celebrating families.
The LINK (Lamoille Interagency Network for Kids) Program provides support services for runaway, homeless and other youth in distress. LINK provides year-round crisis care and case management to youth and their families and 24-hour access to safe and temporary shelter for youth. Case managers offer direct service and referral to community supports to help youth manage family conflict, develop healthy life and social skills and build safe and supportive relationships.
The Families Learning Together Program, a recognized independent high school, provides pregnant and parenting young adults with academic support, job shadowing, vocational placements, and parenting skills. Additional services include therapeutic case management, group and individual support, assistance in finding and maintaining affordable housing, and referrals to community resources. Families Learning Together also offers access to a high quality, 5 STAR licensed childcare center for children up to the age of two, as well as breakfast, lunch, and snacks.
