Northeast Kingdom Youth Services' mission: NEKYS creates opportunities for youth, adults and families to strengthen life skills and resiliency in the face of adversity.
NEKYS Transitional Living Program (TLP) is a voluntary program for local 16-21-year-old youth who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless. The program’s goal is to provide the essential support services that youth need to make a successful transition to independent, self-sufficient adults.
NEKYS also provides 24/7 access to short-term emergency shelter for youth ages 12-17.
Through VCRHYP's Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program, NEKYS also offers Housing Navigation, Landlord Liaison, Rapid Rehousing, and Diversion services.
Other programs provided by NEKYS include the Youth Development Program, the Youth in Transition Program, Prevention and Stabilization for Youth and Families, and a variety of restorative justice programs.
