Northeast Kingdom Youth Services (NEKYS) is based in Vermont’s Northeast Kingdom, in St. Johnsbury, Vermont. They work to support youth, families, and adults through mentoring, community outreach, and fundraising efforts. NEKYS’s mission is to create opportunities for youth, adults, and families to strengthen life skills and resiliency in the face of adversity. The organization’s vision is to create a hub for empowering action for youth and the community. NEKYS’s services include: a Youth Development Program, an Independent Living Program, a Youth in Transition Program, a Basic Center Program, a Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project, as well as their NEKYS Apartment Program.
