Welcome VCRHYP's new Youth Engagement Coordinator, Anna Berg!

VCRHYP is excited to announce our team is growing!   Please help us in welcoming our new Youth Engagement Coordinator, Anna Berg! 

For the past three years Anna has been working with the Youth Development Program to expand opportunities for advocacy and leadership training to teens and young adults who have experienced foster care, and we are happy to say we will now be doing the same for VCRHYP youth.

More and more, we are recognizing the importance of giving youth a voice in the agencies that serve them, not only because it helps us serve them better, but also because it can be a huge source of personal empowerment for the young people involved.  Anna will be working to boost youth engagement by further developing our VT Youth Project, creating more youth-centered outreach materials, and coordinating opportunities for young people to share their ideas and concerns around youth-homelessness.  

As we develop this new piece of our programing, we will be creating opportunities to recognize the talents of young people and encouraging them to become advocates, leaders, and engaged members of their communities.  So stay tuned as we work to bring youth voices into the forefront of our services!

Three interesting facts about Anna: she thru hiked the Long Trail in 2015, she can teach preschoolers to ski both downhill and cross-country, and she cooks a pretty awesome veggie burger.
